  • Product description

Uv-cured PP release film has good chemical resistance. The following is a specific analysis:

Acid and alkali resistance: The PP release film itself has a certain degree of acid and alkali resistance, and the UV-cured coating further enhances its acid and alkali resistance. The cured coating can effectively prevent the erosion of PP substrate by chemical substances such as acids and alkalis. In general acidic or alkaline environments, the performance of the release film is relatively stable and it is less likely to undergo chemical reactions that lead to a decline in release performance or damage to the film material. For instance, in some electronic industry applications, UV-cured PP release films can still maintain excellent performance even when exposed to weakly acidic or weakly alkaline cleaning solutions.

Resistance to organic solvents: UV-cured PP release films have good resistance to many organic solvents. The cured coating has a cross-linked structure and can resist the swelling and dissolution effects of common organic solvents. In practical applications, such as in some processes that require the use of organic solvents for wiping or cleaning, the release film will not show obvious deformation, fading or changes in release force due to contact with organic solvents. However, for some highly polar or high-boiling-point organic solvents, prolonged contact may have a certain impact on the performance of the release film. But compared with the release film that has not undergone UV curing treatment, its resistance to organic solvents has been significantly improved.

Chemical stability: The UV curing process forms a dense cross-linked network structure on the surface of the release film, which not only improves the mechanical properties of the film but also enhances its chemical stability. In daily use and general industrial environments, release films can resist the erosion and aging of various chemical substances, and are not prone to degradation, embrittlement or discoloration, thus ensuring the long-term stable use of release films in different chemical environments.

However, the chemical resistance of UV-cured PP release film is not the same. Its performance is affected by multiple factors, such as the concentration of chemical substances, contact time, temperature, as well as the formula and curing degree of the release film. In practical applications, it is necessary to select the appropriate UV-curable PP release film based on the specific usage environment and requirements, and conduct necessary tests and evaluations to ensure that it can meet the requirements of chemical resistance.
